Water quality also counts when it comes to saving energy

So that the boiler system in a laundry can be operated in an energy-saving and environmentally friendly manner, the water quality must also meet the process requirements.

Typical deposits in laundry steam generators are scale deposits. These are usually caused by malfunctions in the softening system. Operating the boiler system with softened water is a basic requirement for energy-saving, trouble-free and damage-free operation. Corrosion or deposits in the steam system cause damage to the system itself, which can lead to boiler damage. Corrosion, e.g. in the feed water, steam or condensate area, also leads to high maintenance and repair costs. Corrosion products can negatively affect the quality of the washing process, deposits in the steam generator lead to higher energy consumption and high costs for chemical boiler cleaning. When scale deposits form in the steam generator, the heat transfer between the metal and the water is impeded. This means that more energy has to be used to generate steam.

By using the FINEAMIN products for water conditioning, such deposits can be prevented and existing deposits can be removed during operation. In contrast to conventional dosing chemicals (e.g. phosphate, sulfite, caustic soda), FINEAMIN itself does not increase the salt content in the boiler water. Thus, by changing the water treatment, the blowdown and desalination of the steam generator can usually be significantly reduced. This also helps reduce water, waste water and energy costs.

All other dosing chemicals can be replaced by the combination of different salt-free, organic amines, polyamines and polyacrylates. As a rule, laundries only need a single combination product that protects the entire water-steam system from corrosion and deposits.

FINEAMIN provides the necessary protective alkalinity in the system, gently removes existing hardness and iron oxide deposits, stabilizes residual hardness and binds the residual oxygen in the system. Excellent corrosion protection is achieved primarily through the surface-active ingredients, which have an inhibiting effect on the metal surfaces. Since many FINEAMIN products are vapor-volatile, this corrosion protection also works in the entire vapor and condensate area.

The products are salt-free and contain no environmentally harmful phosphates. The concentrated product is up to 70 percent biodegradable, i.e. boiler water treated with FINEAMIN can be discharged into the sewage system without any problems. There are no special storage and dosage regulations. FINEAMIN products have been tested by hygiene institutes according to DIN EN 1988-100 and DIN EN 1717 and are approved for use in district heating and heating systems for heating drinking water.
